| OMG! It's snowing outside. Wow. I've never lived where it snowed. Weird. I look like a kid all smiling, looking out the window at the white snowflakes falling everywhere. Crazy. I've only been in actual snow-falling-outta-the-sky once before that I can sort of remember (wasn't exactly sober that night). omg.. i've never driven in snow! I don't know if its enough to really stick around whiteness but it keeps getting heavier so who knows; it's still early.
On another note, we just got a puppy. Picked him up last night. His name is Doobee and he's an 8.5-week-old Boston terrier. He is the cutest little thing! He's only a couple pounds and is absolutely adorable!

The Microsoft Holiday party is tonight and we sort of don't want to go now haha. We won't be staying too long I'm sure.. we'll be excited to get back to Doobee. I hope he handles being alone okay. He's been doing pretty good adjusting so far. | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |
| Awesome!! Toorcon was awesome!! as usual!!!
The iPhone is hax0r'd! The iPhone is hacked! The iPhone is being hacked! Fuzzing in progress heh
I can't wait till all this iPhone buzz is done ... at the Toorcon after party (the best of the Toorcon parties), everyone was playing with their iPhones since crash found a glitch... then I look over and see what's-his-name holding his sidekick and rubbing his fingers back and forth across the keys... and I say "are you trying to get your Sidekick off?" TOO FUNNY! Everyone looked over at him and started laughing! ... Probably one of the funniest things I'll ever say in my entire life.
With all those hax0rs working on their iPhones it'll be hackable in record time. I was actually surprised there were no talks on the iPhone at Toorcon. Anyway, the weekend was awesome as usual. I can't wait till next year! I already miss SoCal, even if it was on fire hehe.

| Me: Let's light the fireplace and have a rainy day. Remember back in school when it would rain you get to eat inside? Rich: Most schools always eat inside. Me: What? Next you're going to tell me there are grass beaches!
heh. I am so Cali'd! I really did live in a bubble heh. We are so unique and way cooler than everywhere else!! :) heh jk | comments: Leave a comment |

Seattle police face hostile crowd after nightclub shooting THE ASSOCIATED PRESS SEATTLE -- A Seattle police spokesman says officers faced a hostile crowd early Monday as they responded to a report of shots fired in a popular downtown area. Spokesman Jeff Kappel says there was a large disturbance shortly after 1 a.m. in the street at Western Avenue and Bell. A woman in her 20s was wounded and taken to Harborview Medical Center with a wound described as non-life threatening. It's unknown if she was a target or a random victim. Kappell says it took a large number of officers to control a hostile crowd. Several cars fled the scene. In one, officers arrested two suspects and seized a gun. The shooting took place near a nightclub and a witness says several fights had broken out. (with information from KOMO-TV, KING-TV, KIRO-TV)
What a riot. Rich asked if those were gun shots. I am so used to hearing noises outside, especially at bar-closing hours and I was in a zone with headphones on transcribing so I didn't pay attention. Of course the one time I don't go outside to see what the cops are yelling at over their loudspeakers but usually it's nothing exciting. This time it was. Oh well. It's funny cuz the cops were saving to "get in their vehicles and vacate the area" and the article says cars fled the scene heh. :)

| Wow.. it's been a month since I updated. The LJ intro page tells you how long it's been. I meant to stay upto date, I swear... but shit .. and laziness happens so .. yea. :) I been keeping busy and stuff. Sitting on my laptop most of the days and chilling the rest of the time.. oh yea and sleeping too. :)
Anyway, my bro's wedding was a week ago so I was just in Ocean City, New Jersey (the east coast OC). My brother's wife is from there and all her families live there so it was a raging time. Her family is so fun ... the wedding was an awesome awesome time. The bridesmaid dresses were even pretty! Not only are they fun, her parents are great host. They had us staying in one of their million-dollar-block-from-the-beach condo. Yea, million dollars! I can't believe it. The island is worth lots and lots of money. So I discovered Wawa out there. It's like a convenience store but better!! ... They have fresh made sandwiches there... like walking into a subway, they have 20 different coffees, and lots of other foods.. everything you could think of and they are open the same hours as convenience stores! So the only other thing I will note about the wedding.. well 2 more things. It was VERY weird and "disorienting," as Erin put it, not having the sun set over the water. We were at a restaurant on the boardwalk at sunset and it felt so weird to not see the sunset! Trippy!! And transportation for the wedding was a trolley for the wedding party. Yea, a trolley, that doesn't go in reverse (don't ask). Then it took us to the beach and dropped us off at the reception. After the reception there was a bus waiting to take us back to Ocean City, about 30 minutes away. They have weird rules about the routes those things can take. Anyway, the bus had brought a lot of the guest to the reception and took all of us home. We found out there was supposed to be karaoke on the bus but we later found it is wasn't karaoke at all. The bus driver sang.. and not well.. and not at our request.
SOOOOO............ Seattle's good. I just wish I knew what my financial status is right now. But that would require me to look up and update my budget. Not an easy task. Then I can know when I can go out and how much I can spend and not be broke anytime soon! So Rich is going to Vietnam to speak at a conference. I want to go but plane tickets are $1500 .. and me being jobless, do not have that much! Plus I still got a few other trips I have to take (weddings and such). So the Corona Open is soon! End of August. So I will be in mexico (flying to SoCal) but then two weekends after that, I have a wedding in LA. So do I pay for more plane tickets or do I stay in So Cal for 2 weeks. I could still do work from anywhere and I'd get to see more of my friends and stuff. It would be an easier decision if we were renting out our SD house so I don't have a default place to call home for the weekend. I would have to bum around with people. And get a rental car. And ugh! Or I could hop over to Vegas the weekend in between. I know Matt would like that! :) I would too. Well, depends on what the temp is hehe.
I look forward to the night I can make it to the Speak Easy. Yes, it really exists! They went Friday night but I wasn't feeling good that night so I crashed out, at about 3am. They were at the Speak Easy from about 3-530a. You have to dress nicely, slacks, jacket, tie (suits) for men, etc. Which I think is a GREAT idea. They have an authentic roulette wheel from the 20s, poker, blackjack, burlesque show, alcohol and joints for sale (yes I said joints), live bands, and more!
Enough about that. I need to update my web page and post more pictures. For some reason I haven't been into taking pictures. Since I have been in Seattle. I am really starting to super duper miss my friends. I don't have any close friends here, except Rich of course, so I'm always hanging out with Rich's friends. Because I don't have any of my own. I don't think I ever will. My friends are all relationships that took years to establish. I would never find someone in the time it would take.
So I hope things work out here because I moved my whole life up here. There's no going back. I would not be able to establish myself in OC for a while. I'd have to do this little girl in the new big scary city all by my lonesome self. Without a job. Without a safety net. Completely lost.
I learned in Jew Jersey though that he really loves me and will not give up on me without fight, even if I always do. I am easy to say "let's agree we disagree" and avoid the drama. I hate drama. I know which conversations will lead to drama. So i give up, I walk away, I end the debate. Rich is like no one else I have been with. I expected him to give up just like everyone else. But he didn't. He came back in. He made me talk. I have never hyperventilated like that ever in my life. It was weird. It took a while to stop. And things went back the way they were. Sort of. Things were civil to get through the weekend. But I know. He will not give up on me. And I don't want to give up on him.
enjoy melodrama.. i had a brain spurt I suppose. must be cuz I have no friends around here to let it out to. everyone else would think I was crazy. | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
| Today will be record highs for Seattle reaching the 90s!! I can't wait! .. Memorial Day weekend was boring because we couldn't go to Sasquatch because Rich was sick. He slept all weekend and I sat around taking care of him most of the time. Went to the market and them some one day. And Memorial Day he felt good enough to hit up the mall. To our surprise there were not many sales going on and it wasn't crowded at all. Unfortunately I started to get sick while we were there. VERY sick. I could barely stand. But I was a good gf and stuck it out while he shopped. I felt better by the time we left though. Weird. And the next day I felt fine. So hopefully that's all I'm going to get sick from catching anything from Rich. This weekend is his bday so that would suck if I was sick for it!
Maybe I will go explore the city some more. I still haven't gotten boba yet! Haven't found a place close to my house yet. They are mostly all in the international district so I'm not going to drive there just for boba. It takes forever to get places in downtown with all these one-way streets. Kinda annoying heh. But that's city life for ya and that's why people walk. I'll probably go to the market again today. I want a mango. :) I love it that the market is 5 blocks away and I can go there anything .. even if it's just for a mango ... and they have awesomely cheap flowers. The most any of the bouquets cost is $15 and that's for a HUGE bouquet. My place will always have fresh flowers now :) I got a really nifty one this weekend when I went. Actually I got two $5 bouquets and put 'em together :)
I finally got a 500 GB HD this weekend so I can back up all my shizz and reformat! Yay! I still have mixed feelings about switching to Windows Vista and Office 2007. I was using Rich's computer yesterday and MS Word is just WEIRD! It's so totally different than previous versions! Makes me glad I don't still have my job because when they have to upgrade again and do those macros, I won't have to be around to do them! w00t! Vista does have it's advantages of course and it's more secure but I hate change. haha. Oh well. I can always switch back and it's free so :) | comments: Leave a comment |
| Well, I meant to write this on Sunday when it was actually raining but I never got around to it ... It finally rained on Sunday and Monday here in Seattle. So we stayed in and watched movies all day on Sunday. I slept all day Monday until Rich got home from work. Guess I was a little tired. I haven't been sleeping well most nights so ... not sure why. Insomnia sucks major ass. It just seems like I can sleep easily when it's not bedtime.. i'm weird like that. Anyway.
Since lots of people were in town for Blue Hat and Toorcon, I finally did some touristy stuff. A bunch of us went and ate at the restaurant in the Space Needle. That was pretty nifty although totally over priced of course. Really yummy lamb though. Huge leg. Then we checked out the Sci-Fi Museum and Experience Music Project. Nifty stuffs. Then we met up with others at Cyclops for some drinks and snacks. People came and went from there all night. I met more people and saw more people I haven't seen in forever. It was really nice to see Freshmen again! That night we partied at Trinity Nightclub then went to En since the VIP list was fucked up and only the Microsoft people were on it and not the Toorcon people. Oh well. It's amazing how many people showed up at En. Dodgeball is awesome heh. There was more of a party there than at Trinity and the people at Trinity were dicks. The bouncer didn't want to let me in because he thought I was drunk cuz I slipped or tripped on uneven ground or something right as I was walking up. Yea, you try wearing heels on cobblestone streets heh.
So Toorcon Seattle Beta went well. Lots of people showed up, the talks were good, etc. It was a good successful first year and will be sure to happen again. The Willy Wonka badges were awesome too. Then we all went to dinner at various places and met up again at the Public N3rd Area for the Toorcon party. Keith DJ'd at some point so that was fun. Did a little drinking, did a little dancing. This guy lives in a warehouse and it's like the "hang out" nerd place. They build random things there and have a pool table and it's a warehouse so no neighbors to complain! Sunday was the SMS Drinking game. Divide and Jaqueline set it up and it was really fun. We were walking around Cap Hill with foil hats and taking random pics and doing random things. Pretty funny. We ended up all winning because all teams pretty much did all the tasks and got equal points. So we will all get Toorcon engraved flasks! Awesome! Then we met up with the crew that were at the contest at the public n3rd area at Pasta Fresca. We took up the whole place! The chef asks you what you like and don't like and just serves you food. It was pretty good grubbing. Oh, our SMS team bought Fun-Noodles and were beating each other up with them! Too funny. So people were getting ahold of them and having fights and there was a big one outside Pasta Fresca after dinner. Oh and we wrapped h1kari in pink plastic wrap and beat him with the fun noodles. Good times!
So Monday, Aaron and I went to the Market to buy steaks and stuff to BBQ dinner that night. He made us some awesome steaks and we had a nice sunset dinner on the rooftop. He made super yummy carrots that were sweet and delicious. He ended up staying at a hotel for his last night so Rich and I finally had the apartment to ourselves again. I have been pretty OCD about cleaning so I had a lot of work to do the next day heh.
Rich came home early that day (Tuesday) and we went boating on Blake's boat with his gf Jess. That was awesome. They have a nifty boat and we went out, picked up Brian and Chris at a pier and we were all wakeboarding and wakeskating. Good times! Then we cruised over to Pyramid Ale House to have dinner for Shyama's birthday. Their double hefeweizen wasn't very good. I was pretty tired that day so I passed out once we got home while the others watched a movie. The rest of the week was pretty uneventful.
Then we had the KC BBQ on Saturday. Their friends from KC were in town. Brian and Alice. They brought tons of different BBQ sauces from KC. If i was up on top of my pics I'd have visuals.. oh well. Pretty chill. I power napped then we all headed to Chopstix Dueling Piano Bar. That was pretty fun. We had sooo many shots. Patron and Washington Apple. Crazy. Everyone kept ordering rounds and there were 10 of us. After they closed we all went back to our place and chilled for a few. The boys are really addicted to Street Fighter. It's not enough that they have a machine at work to play each other, they gotta do it here too. Heh.
So this weekend we were supposed to go camping at Sasquatch but Rich got sick yesterday. Well, he was started to feel bad all week and it really hit hard Friday morning. So he has pretty much just slept the past couple days and therefore I have too heh. We have been so chill here. I had to go and go him some drugs and that's about all i've done heh. We have watched so many movies.
So my other Seattle oddities I've discovered is ... on streets with slanted parking, you park backwards with your back wheels against the curb. So weird. I've only seen one street that had it the "normal" way of pulling in forward heh. Here, you back into the spots. I suppose it is better for hilly streets but they do it on flat streets too. I dunno. They have a really big REI here too. So the biggest thing I've found to dislike here is you have to go to actual "Liquor" stores to buy liquor! Like the hard stuff, tequila, rum, vodka, etc. Lame! So we kinda stocked up when we went before the BBQ. I got some more patron! yay! good stuff. I can't believe you can't go to the corner market or Costco to buy that stuff. So weird. What's wrong with this state haha.
Oh so at the BBQ, I discovered my friend Rob who lives here, happens to live with the only other friend I know here except for the geek crew. Well, he just moved out but they were roommates this whole time and I didn't know! Such a small world!
Next weekend is Rich's b-day and I have no idea what to get him! Hmrph! Hopefully I get out and check out more of the town this week. Probably hit up a mall. Wednesday we spent all day furniture shopping in Redmond. Rich found a new sofa/loveseat set and a kick ass coffee table. Pretty nifty. We were in suburbia so there were actually stores around! I went to an asian supermarket and was like the only asian person there. Weird. Well, except the employees. Then we went to Fred Meyer which he said is like a super WalMart. Yup it was ... i wanted to walk around all over and shop but Rich was pretty shopped out for the day so we bought the necessities heh. He didn't want to get a cart or basket again and we ended up getting a whole cart-full of stuff heh. I found an empty cart somewhere in the store heh. Got some organizer stuff so the bathroom sink looks better now. Clutter annoys me. I got some organizers for my desk too so that is a better study area now too. Although studying up on the roof sounds a lot funner heh. They recently made it so the wireless works on the roof. It also works in the club house area downstairs. Oh, did I ever mention this place has awesome amenities. Two gyms (but no stair climbers), pool, jacuzzi, BBQs by the pool and on the rooftop, awesome views, club house, tv room, conference room (free computers/printer), AND 2 tanning beds. Yea, tanning beds! Isn't that crazy?!@! Yea.. heh. I couldn't believe that when I saw it. I wonder how many people use it. Hmrph. | comments: Leave a comment |
| So my first week in Seattle is going well. I have done a lot and learned a lot of things. Heh. After my first night here, I woke up and went to the gym! Hit the elliptical for 30. Hopefully I stay on top of doing that. That first day I spent unpacking and organizing. Then I walked to Pike Place Market to check it out while looking for something to eat. I really don't understand why people take pictures of fruit stands and fish stands but to each their own. I take a lot of weird pictures too so. Anyway, I found some food and got some fruit and flowers and went back home. The flowers are beatiful and so cheap! Tulips are so pretty when they bloom. Rich and I had a mellow evening that night before the madness of house guests, Blue Hat, and Toorcon began. Lurene Pusscat showed up that night. House Guest #1. Discovery of the day: Early Bird Specials for parking; bums still scare me.
So Wednesday was more unpacking, etc. My boxes finally came in the morning after the 2-day delay from the lazy mail man since they needed a special truck because they are so big. So he came and brought me 8 new boxes to unpack! Yay! Those weren't too difficult to unpack since it was mainly clothes and all still on the hangers. It's weird to have clothes again! haha. I forgot about all the variety of dressing I had before hehe. One box did have a bunch of stuff in it and it got pretty mangled up and I'm sure lots of little things fell out. It was the last box I packed so I threw in all the little stuff at the end that I still found lying around. I lost a lot of dowels for my desk riser which really sucks! Rich surprised me coming home early that day so the 3 of us got a late lunch at Pike Place Market. MmmMmmm sausages and chowder! The BEST chowder! Then we did some much needed shopping and spent way too much money. We went to Sam's Club and Target. We got a ton of new applicances since Rich doesn't have any. We replaced his microwave that he hates, got a new toaster oven, blender, coffee maker, and vacuum. We stocked up on some food and beer and household products we needed. Rich gets weirded out whenever he looks in the fridge since there is actual food in there. I bought a mango from the market and he was laughing when he saw it in the fridge because there has never been a mango in there before heh. It's weird seeing "California" fruits at the market now heh.
After that it was time to have some fun. We went to dinner with Lurene, Matt, Sarah, and Shama at Belltown Pizza. The service was absolutely ridiculous. I was drunk before our food came and it lasted all night. When we finally finished eating, we met up with the Blue Hat'ers that went to the speaker dinner at En. They have a special cucumber martini that's the shit and DD was DJing. I tasted the martini and it wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. I might have had one if I didn't already get drunk from the Rum-n-Diet's I had at dinner. So Rich, Druid, Lurene, and Keith Myers walked back to our place to drop off Druid's luggage. House Guest #2 and came back and we stayed there drinking well into the night. It was good to see everyone again! Hikari, Tim, Geo, Keith, KenFury, WilX, Divide, etc. I don't really remember the rest of the night after leaving there but mainly we just walked home and went to bed.
I woke up feeling really icky this morning though :( Just had a belly ache mainly. I couldn't sleep again last night so I was pretty tired. I was going to go to Blue Hat to see everyone and what not but I decided I wanted to clean and unpack instead. But I couldn't fall back asleep so I got up early for the day. The maintenance guy came early too though so he fixed up some things and I organized some things. We need to get some organizer items to fit all our stuff in here. And we are probably going to get a storage unit too. Luckily there is one less than a block away and not uphill! All day long my belly ache came and went so that sucked. So I finally went to the corner store to get some chicken noodle soup. So the corner store is like a liquor store on a corner. The grocery store is Safeway or Ralphs, etc. The "market" is Pike Place Market. 7-Eleven is just, 7-Eleven heh. Target and Macy's are both department stores. Too funny. The soup didn't really make me feel better, only temporarily. Then everyone got back from Blue Hat and were all being geeks on their laptops finishing up their slides for Toorcon. So funny. Three geeks on the couch w/ their laptops. So I took a nap because I was tired and we were waiting to hear back from people about plans for the evening. I got a good couple hours sleep then we got dinner at Ohana.. mMmmM sushi! Aaron just arrived from Texas and Brian joined us also. After dinner I came back home and Rich and Aaron dropped off Aarons bags. House Guest #3. Now I am having a chill evening. Might go meet up with everyone later but probably not. Feeling a mellow evening tonight. Tomorrow and the weekend are going to be crazy enough. Tomorrow is the limo scavenger hunt then Trinity Nightclub, cosponsored by Blue Hat AND Toorcon Seattle. Saturday is Toorcon Seattle and the party is free booze so that one ain't ending till the morning hours. Sunday also includes much mayhem during an SMS pub-crawl drinking game thing. Should be interesting!
I still need to find the nearest post office, a dry cleaner, Rite Aid and Verizon store. Oh and go to the bank! and wash my car. Poor thing has been so filthy it much hate me. Bugs really add up on your fender when you drive through 3 states along the coastal route! | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
| I have arrived!! We finally made it to Seattle around 2pm. What was my first Dodgeball message? "Speed limit is 60? are you kidding me?" haha. After 3 days of driving I wasn't about to put up with that for the last 100+ miles so I had to do a little weaving but kept my average speed at 80 :) ... Anyway, bad news is the management returned some of my boxes because he's a new guy and didn't know I was moving in with Rich. Bastard! And the post office told my parents that we would have to repay the postage since they already did their job. We are going to try to re-send the boxes again anyway and hopefully they get sent. Luckily (I hope) my BIG boxes will arrive tomorrow. I don't think those got returned .. and those are the ones with my clothes and the main stuff I really need.
So I wrote this entry on May 7 at 10:10pm but then we started watching a movie so I never finished it and now it's May 10. I lag heh! So I will continue in a new entry :) | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
| Hawaii (Mon - Thur) was totally awesome!!
Friday: got on the road a lot later than I wanted to... had a lot of last minute things to do before the road trip. Stopped at a lot of beaches along the coast ... and finally switched to taking the 5 freeway after dinner in Oxnard after the sun went down. Drove all the way to San Fran and stayed with Richard.
Saturday: left San Fran around 2pm. Drove up the coast along the 101 and the 1. Very long coastal drive. Very interesting. So pretty. Lots of awesome beaches. Ate dinner in Fort Bragg and stayed the night in Eureka
Sunday: went from Eureka on the 101 to the border and took the 199 at Grants Pass to the 5 and headed into Oregon. Staying the night here at Dale's in Portland before heading to the final destination of Seattle.
This week: Blue Hat and Toorcon Seattle Beta Next week: BBQ and KC guests
We are going to have people staying at our place for the next couple weeks. Oh boy! | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |

| People shouldn't believe everything they read on the Internet. Why are so many people so retarded!
I just wanted to reiterate that I hate people :) I should move to an area with a small population so I don't have to deal with "people." If you know me, you know what I mean when I say "people." You are a person therefore I do not hate you :) | comments: Leave a comment |
